INFRASTRUCTURE / FACILITIES
The School is spread over 7 acres of land inside the IIT Campus and has four separate buildings for the four sections – Kindergarten, Primary( Stds I to V ), Middle school
( Stds VI to VIII ) and High and Higher Secondary School ( Sds IX to XII )
KINDERGARTEN:
- Well ventilated classrooms for regular teaching in addition to this there is an activity room. All the rooms are on the ground floor.
- The classrooms open out in to the vast open space where the children have the morning assembly. One part of this area is also the ‘play area’ and has several play equipment for the children. The safety of the children has been kept in mind both in the design of the area as well as the choice and location of the ‘play equipment’.

LIBRARY |
There is one large library and is the main resource centre for the faculty and students. It is well stocked with over 10,000 volumes mainly comprising of textbooks, reference books, fiction titles, Audio- Visual material like CDs and VCDs. The library also has periodicals and subscribes to nearly 12 periodicals including 02 national daily newspapers. The total worth of the books in the library is estimated to be nearly 10 lacs. The seating capacity of the library is 50. |
LABORATORIES |
There are 04 spacious, well designed Science labs, of which the Chemistry, Physics and Biology labs have an area of 50 sqm each and the Computer Science lab is 40 sqm. All the labs are fully equipped to meet the curriculum requirements and have separate work stations for each student. The Chemistry, Physics and Biology labs can accommodate 45- 50 students at a given time comfortably. The state – of – the – art - Computer Education lab has 40 systems. A broadband internet connection in the lab provides internet access to source the websites for educational materials. The school offers computer education for students from Standard III to XII. The computer lab also has an LCD projector. |

There is one Physical education room which stocks an assortment of equipment required for various games. |
PLAYGROUND |
While there are covered children’s play areas with plenty of open space for the Primary school children, there is vast area of open grounds for the older students to practice/ take up sports and games. The school can boast of a fine football ground, two Basketball courts and also has net facilities for aspiring Cricket players. |
OFFICE ROOM |
A fully automated and well equipped school office/ Principal’s room keeps the school administration going smoothly. |
VISITORS ROOM – COUNSELLING ROOM |
COUNSELLOR – The school also has a visiting qualified psychologist / counselor who holds counseling sessions and with the help of teachers makes the personality profile of students referred to her and shares and discusses it with the parents. |
The new Primary school building which is under construction is likely to be ready for occupation by the next year- 2012. This first of its kind – green building – is being constructed for the school by IIT and will have all the facilities including an elevator and ramp for the physically challenged.
